About TimeFocus
TimeFocus is a small, independent project built by a single developer who loves two things: clean web tools and practical time management.
Who's Behind TimeFocus?
Hi, I'm tong — a software engineer and productivity geek. I've spent years writing code by day and experimenting with time-management systems at night. Most systems were either too complicated, too rigid, or just didn't fit real life.
TimeFocus is my answer to that problem: a set of simple, reliable timing tools you can actually use every day without reading a manual.
Why I Built This Site
I built the first 5-minute timer because I kept telling myself, "I'll start in five minutes"… and then never starting at all. Once I began using short, focused countdowns, it became much easier to overcome procrastination, switch tasks, and protect small pockets of time for myself and my family.
TimeFocus grew from that first tool into a collection of timers, stopwatches, alarms, and a sleep calculator — all designed around real-world situations: work sessions, teaching, workouts, family routines, and personal focus time.

How TimeFocus Is Designed
People-first
Every tool starts from a real-life use case: a teacher managing transitions, a parent limiting screen time, a student revising, a professional preparing a talk.
Fast & lightweight
No logins, no bloat, no distractions. Just open the page and start timing.
Accessible
Dark/light mode, large digits, keyboard shortcuts, and touch-friendly controls so the tools work on any device.
Privacy-friendly
Your timing data lives in your browser. I don't sell user data or track individual behavior.
Part of a Family of Time Tools
TimeFocus is part of a small ecosystem of time-related tools I'm building, including Atimeis.org, a world clock and time zone helper for planning across regions. Together, these tools aim to make it easier to see your time and protect it.
How This Site Is Maintained
I regularly update TimeFocus with new features, presets, and articles based on user feedback and my own experiments. The blog shares practical systems, timing templates, and ready-made routines you can plug directly into the tools.
If you notice a bug, have an idea for a new timer, or want to share how you use TimeFocus in your classroom, team, or family, I'd love to hear from you.
